Create your Workspace

Every aspects of your IDmelon passwordless authentication system can be managed from the IDmelon Admin Panel. This includes enrolling and activating users' security keys, instantly granting or restricting access, carefully monitoring users' access, managing licenses, and more.

Access the IDmelon Admin Panel


To access the IDmelon Admin Panel, navigate to the IDmelon Admin Panel here. Present your security key to experience a frictionless login, or create a workspace on behalf of your organization if it is your first try.

If it is the first time that you are here to create a new workspace on behalf of your organization, click the Create one!.

Create Workspace

Choose Work or School because you want to create an account as an administrator

Fill in all the fields with your information including your email address and phone number. To verify your email address, you will receive a 6-digit verification code via your email to enter.

Please note that you need to enter your business email to represent your organization, you cannot use an email at a free domain. We know that it might be tempting to skip the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy, but it is important to read them and have a mutual understanding of what we expect from each other.

Please enter your company's URL and Name, these two fileds are necessary to be filled. Please make sure that your company's URL is correct before going to next step. You can either add your company's logo or not.

Note: pay attention to the business type at the top of this step whether it is work or school.

In this step choose the device that you like to use as your security key.

By clicking on Save & Continue you are going to see a page which is related to the security key device that you have chosen.

Then, you should choose a way you would like to log into your panel.

After the activation process you will see the page below which shows that you have successfully created your administration panel. Please click on Login to log in to your workspace.

Activation Process


Smartphone

Choose Smartphone as your security key device and click on Save & Continue.

You can use IDmelon Authenticator app or the camera on your smartphone to scan the QR code that you see on the PC screen.

Open IDmelon application on your phone and click on the three line menu on the top left of your screen. Then tap on Pair with a new PC and scan the QR code.

After scanning the QR code with your phone, the following page proves that you have registered your smartphone as a security key to IDmelon panel. Click Next to move to the next step.

Pay attention to this page, because this page informs about how to log in using your smartphone as a security key. You should either download IDmelon Pairing Tool or have an IDmelon Reader to log in to your panel by your smartphone as your security key.

Click Login to move to login page and login with your smartphone.

Contactless Card

Choose Contactless Card as your security key device and click on Save & Continue.

In this page you see two card reader models. Based on your own card reader model click on rfIDEAS or acs to download the driver that can communicate with your reader. After downloading the driver and installing it, click on Next.

Just enter whatever name you want for your security key device and click on Set up your Contactless Card.

Just touch your device (tap on your Contactless Card) to register your card.

By seeing the page below, your device has been successfully set up and click on Done to see the Congratulations page.

Note: Once your Contactless Card has been registered, an email containing a 4 digit PIN will be sent you. You will need this PIN when you want to login to your panel using Contactless Card. You have to go to login page, touch your security key and then enter the PIN to login to your panel.

FIDO2.0 Hardware Security Key

Choose FIDO2.0 Hardware Security Key as your security key device and click on Save & Continue.

Just write down whatever name you want for your hardware security key and click on Register.

Here you have to touch your Hardware Security key.

If you have done all step correctly you can see the image below which proves that your security key has been added successfully.
Simply click on Done to see the Congratulations page.
